This place has been in business for years and years. Kropp's has THE best fish fry I have ever had (and this is coming from a Wisconsin native)!! Previous to my first visit here, I had been a haddock fan. Kropp's has introduced me to the wonderful world of perch. Their perch is unbelievable. Order it. Love it. Their atmosphere is homey and quaint. Don't expect to find anything contemporary here. The waitstaff is always friendly and do their best to keep up with the large crowd. The only downside to this place? They have limited hours and because the locals know how tasty their fish is, they fill up fast. Get here early! Lines will form out the door.

They don't take credit cards,only cash and no sign on door saying that.No tap beer,only bottle.($3.00) Perch $13.50.I had combo and chose Perch+Chicken,also available in combo was Frog legs or Shrimp.Food was awesome and worth it.Got there after 4pm and only 5 people at bar,when i left at 5 pm the people were 2 deep and people already seated in 3 different dining rooms. As of 2-12-2012 i called and i know for sure that they are ONLY open on Wednesday apx 4:30pm and Friday apx 4:30pm and Saturday hrs?,call to make sure.This may be just the slow season but also the economy is slow. The food is great! The BEST scallops I've ever tasted. Been to Kropps a hand full of times and you have to get there early or you will be waaaaaiting. Staff there is very friendly. Staff works their tails off it's always so busy. It's family owned and very historic to the area. Go and make a night of it...you won't be disappointed.

Was looking for a central location West of Green Bay for a family supper with good food for young kids to elders. Place is tight for larger groups like ours of 14, but they made it work. Our orders ranged from grilled cheese with fries, chicken, fish fry, seafood plates. The staff was friendly, attentive and efficient. All orders were delivered hot and at the same time. Though definitively a place for many locals who come back for good reasons, after this our first visit, we will be back. Every food item was well presented and very good. They don't take reservations but do accept credit cards.

Found the restaurant through "Directory of Wisconsin's Best Ma & Pa Restaurants" by Our Wisconsin magazine. Dined on 4/12/14. Arrived at 4:30pm and we were greeted warmly upon entering. Had a drink at the bar and were asked if we were there to dine. We said yes, offered menus & were told a waitress would take our order whenever we were ready. After ordering, there was a short wait and we were shown to our table. We each had the chicken dinner; me 1/2 and my companion the 1/4. Food was served hot and with fresh, warm rolls. Chicken was moist & tender; breading was tasty and something very different - crisp yet not thick, heavy breading. As a previous reviewer stated, the place is very homey and quaint. Long history for this place (it's in the menu) as a restaurant - and after 1 meal, we know why they have been in business so long. Short drive from Green Bay - we will DEFINITELY return!

Best Perch EVER. OMG. WOW. We found Kropp's in our copy of Wisconsin Supper Clubs by Ron Faiola - are we glad we did. Marge and her daughters welcomed us like family when we arrived. Tom the bartender was friendly and helped get us caught up on the football scores, while serving up some fine Old Fashioned. You get your menus at the bar, place your order and when your table and dinner is ready, you head in to your table. Charming and eclectic dining rooms housed in a historic tavern and lodging establishment that dates back to 1904 - our waitress was simply wonderful, she has been working there for 50+ years. Perch. Perch with the bones. Both are spectacular - closest to having a Canadian Shorelunch fried on the banks of a remote Canadian lake, that you'll ever have in a restaurant. Stop by Kropp's Supper Club the next time you are near Green Bay and give the Perch a try, I'd like to know what you think. I believe you'll agree - Best Perch ever.
